Each year, CRIA recognizes two outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated strong moral character and consistent effort to achieve their personal potential.

Award winners shall have demonstrated a high degree of personal honesty and integrity, a commitment to learning, and extra-curricular activities. In addition, winners must possess a concern for and record of service to the members of his or her community; a determination to maximize his or her natural intellectual abilities; and a joy for living life to the fullest.

The Grand Prize Scholarship Award is $2,000

The 1st Runner-up Award is $1,000

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicant's parent, guardian or grandparent must be a member in good standing of the California Robbery Investigators Association with a minimum of two consecutive years of membership. (We are counting 2021 as a "Grace Year" due to COVID Impact on our membership and organization)
• Applicant must be enrolled in the 12th grade at any public or private school
• Application must be made to the board of the Chapter (North/South) to which the member belongs by April 14th, 2024.
• Applicants must be continuing their education beyond high school, whether at a university, college or trade school.
• The award is made solely on the basis of merit, without regard to ethnic background, religion, or financial need
• A committee will be appointed by the Board of Directors and their decision will be final.  Decisions on the award will be made by May 1st, 2024.
